Leeftijddeelname
In onderstaande tabel staat hoe vaak een renner met een bepaalde leeftijd aan zijn hoeveelste Tour meedeed. In de rij "30" onder kolom "4e" staat bijvoorbeeld hoeveel renners bij hun 4e Tour-start 30 jaar oud waren. Alleen renners die ook echt van start zijn gegaan, zijn meegeteld.
Onderaan de tabel staat de gemiddelde leeftijd tijdens de n-de deelname, en de standaard-deviatie op die gemiddelde leeftijd. Om die gemiddelde leeftijd te berekenen heb ik de leeftijd van elke renner afgerond (naar beneden) in jaren genomen, dus zoals wij in het dagelijks leven ook onze leeftijd opgeven. Hierdoor ligt de "echte" gemiddelde leeftijd, als ik in dagen zou rekenen, ongeveer een half jaar hoger.
